Parents’ Involvement in Early Childhood Education Curriculum Development: A Case of Kaskazini ‘A’ District in Zanzibar

This study sought to explore the state of parents’ involvement in early childhood education curriculum development Kaskazini A District, Zanzibar. The used qualitative approach light Grassroot Rationale model by Hilda Taba (1962). Face face interviews and focus group discussions were collect data from parents, developers Pre-primary Education Officers. Results have uncovered that parents ineffectively involved process pre-primary development; they rather implementation through participating school meetings discuss different issues about their children’s learning home so as improve performance. recommends that: Firstly, bodies should strengthen activities ensure includes relevant ideas all stakeholders, including parents. Secondly, be given priority it is a way improving during implementation. Lastly, effective strategies employed encourage development.
